Knowledge transfer

The Scottish Government requested our expertise to help them gain insight and knowledge on web technology and strategy.

Our web consultancy experience allowed Peacock Carter to help guide strategy and advise on best practice.

Our role
Web consultants
Client location
Edinburgh, UK

It’s not everyday a government asks you for help, but at Peacock Carter it’s something that happens on a fairly regular basis.

We’ve previously worked with Directgov, BusinessLink.gov.uk and NHS Choices, and the client approached us thanks to our strong portfolio of web consultancy work for other clients in Edinburgh as well as throughout the world.

Content strategy workshop & website audit

The Scottish Government requested our web consultancy services for a project in Edinburgh to audit internal processes and identify areas for improvement and innovation. Peacock Carter were involved in:

  • helping the client to identify key strengths and weaknesses of their content production and audit processes
  • providing bespoke process templates to ensure consistency of results in everything the client does
  • auditing the website and user dashboard of the specific department to identify likely improvements for both the client and the website’s end users
  • consulting in future technology the client could potentially implement and benefit from

We provided our expertise in the form of a content strategy workshop, identifying and improving key processes in getting content from the Scottish Government online in a consistent, well-optimised and promoted manner.

The results for the client were clearly improved processes with long term implications for the quality of their content, and an actionable list of shorter term improvements to undertake: a web consultancy project well done!
